-Learning to deal with your feelings about your own life instead of blaming the people around you for your dissatisfaction.

-Learning not to project. In psychology, projection refers to attributing your own weaknesses to other people to avoid acknowledging them. (IE: if you're a selfish person you may assume all your friends are only out for themselves.

The bottom line: when you are happy with yourself, it's easier to have harmonious relationships.
