An A19 shaped globular bulb with an E26 base is the standard bulb that has been used in homes for the last few decades. For a chart see related links below. The A19 refers to the type of and size of the bulb base and socket. There are a myriad of different bulb shapes, but they need an A19 base to fit an A19 socket (standard light socket).
It is called a socket or base. This keeps the bulb securely in place and allows electricity to flow directly to the bulb.
Base A or Type 1 Also may look at 60 WATT base.
There is no direct cross over replacement for the halogen bulb. The pin configurations are different. The halogen bulb has pins whereas the LED lamp is an intermediate screw in base. The LED bulb uses an intermediate base so that it can be screwed into a regular household fixture as a direct replacement for the old incandescent type bulb.
Remove the lava lamp by lifting up the glass. It separates from the base because it just sits in it. Unscrew the old bulb and screw another one in. When you remove the bulb you will notice that the bulb and base may not be the size of a standard household bulb. On the inside of the base, or the bottom of the base, there should be information about the type and wattage of the bulb. You need to get the same type of bulb to insure that the bulb base will screw into the socket. The wrong type bulb may not fit in the socket or the bulb may be too large and the top of the lamp will not fit properly on the base. If you get the wrong wattage, the bulb may not be hot enough or to hit to make the bulb function properly.

An E-11 indicates it has a mini candelabra base bulb. I am not familiar with any d11s.
The threads on a candelabra base bulb are just over 3/8 inch across where a regular light bulb has threads that are approximately 1 inch across
Unavoidable in certain situations. Light fixtures are sometimes mounted in the ceiling - the bulb must then be mounted base up or base horizontal.
Its A Candelabra base bulb :-) However, one can find "medium" sized base bulbs marked "Type B."
The simple machine that makes up the base of a light-bulb is just a screw. That screw allows you to insert the light-bulb into the base of a lamp. You must make sure to get the grooves of the screw lined up to properly tighten the bulb into place.
The bottom of a light bulb is a screw.
The headlight bult is consists of the housing, the bulb, and the twist lock base the bulb sits in. For bulb replacement you must twist the base to be vertical and then pull it out from the housing. Reverse for instalation. becareful not to touch the new bulb as oil on the bulb will cause dreadful effects to the bulb life
