Simon and Garfunkel's first album, "Hey, Schoolgirl," was released in 1957 by Big Records. It sold over 100,000 copies and hit #49 on Billboard Magazine charts. It was a vinyl record. The duet soon broke up after this first release, and reformed later in 1966.
"A Hazy Shade of Winter" is one, perhaps the most popular. Was covered by the Bangles in the 1980s.

Hi.... I think you will find that 'Come on Over' by Shania Twain with 39 million sold is the biggest selling album by a female.... The Bodyguard Soundtrack is not exclusively Whitney....i.e. other artists are included on the album.... so its open to debate! Whitney Houston's 1992 "the Bodyguard Soundtrack" also its the biggest selling soundtrack of all time as well...so a double whammy here and its the 2nd biggest selling album of all time.
