It will attack at once on the antigens A. the recipient can die of this effect. so it is necessary that the blood groups of the donar and the recipient should match each other. It is imporatnt to note that a person having blood group O contain no antigens on its RBC. therefore it can be donated to any type of blood is cosidered to be the universal donar.
On the contrary blood group AB is considered to be the universal recipient as it contains no antibodies in his blood plasma and will not react to any type of blood it receives.
A blood transfusion is when a person receives blood from someone else, usually from a close relative. You'd want to receive blood from a close relative to prevent tissue rejection, when your immune system tries to destroy foreign blood that's unidentical to your blood.
