This was one of my dads favorites when I was a kid in the 60's.
It was basically a chocolate covered Sugar Daddy.

It is a chocolate covered caramel candy. I believe it is the same maker as the slo poke which is basically a sugar daddy.

if you save before you buy the cow then buy it if it is not brown then you load it until you get a brown cow

If you are referring to the candy, nobody really knows who first inserted a stick into a hard candy so they could hold it.
