For camels risk being the prey of human hunters for clothing, food, and sport. In addition, and particularly in the Gobi, wolves linger around watering holes to finish off camels, whose meat has been a known delicacy since the time of the ancient Persians. Bactrian camels also are vulnerable to attacks when brown bears and snow leopards drop by.

OTOH, not many animals feed on camels either.
