One or more adjectives in a sequence that modify the same noun.

Examples would be seen in the terms "large red ball" or "bright, sunny day" where the comma is dictated by use or style, not necessarily grammar.

Coordinate adjectives are two or more adjectives that describe the same noun, as in the terms "large red ball" or "dark and stormy night." This is as opposed to adjectives that have adverbs (very small boy). In some cases, style dictates the use of a comma (bright, sunny day or warm, cozy night).

Coordinating adjectives are (usually) two adjectives that describe the same noun. With coordinating adjectives you can usually put 'and' between them eg The road was slippery and treacherous.

She was wearing a blue, nylon jacket. -- In this sentence the adjectives blue and nylon are not coordinating so you cant put and between them
