If you had a dead rabbit....Then lets say the ugly vultures and stray animals didnt eat it for a long period of time. Then little bacteria (called decomposers) would start to break down the dead organism...we learned all about this in middle school science, I hope whoevers asking this is in at least 3-7 grade XD

A decomposer breaks down dead animal and plant material so that it is recyclable. Examples are bacteria, fungi and even maggots.
