Sparta was an oligarchy, [ a type of government which only a few people hold power] unlike there enemy the Athens, the people of Sparta [ the Spartans ] focused on military skills and trained at a very young age and retired at 60 very old huh?well that's not all you know what amazes me the most? at once in a war between Athens and Persia, the Athens aggred to come together and defeat the Persians they defeated the Persians but that didn't make them friends it just made them enemies.......... again then came the great war the Peloponnesian war when Sparta and the Athens fought and Sparta had won ,these is all i know of Sparta, sorry for the long answer.
