Diffusions of gas are big examples. Carbon dioxide is diffused in so that photosynthesis may occur, oxygen, the waste product of the light reactions of photosynthesis, is diffused out of the plant - both via stomata.

Another type of diffusion is diffusion of water - osmosis. . Plants also get nutrients from their roots by diffusion .

One example of diffusion in plants is the movement of water and nutrients from the soil into the plant roots through the process of osmosis. In this process, water molecules move from an area of high concentration (soil) to an area of low concentration (plant roots) to maintain equilibrium. Another example is the exchange of gases such as carbon dioxide and oxygen in the leaves through stomata, where these gases move from areas of high concentration to areas of low concentration by diffusion.

1.The diffusion of carbon dioxide into the plant for Photosynthesis.

2.Gaseous exchange

3. Dissolved salts diffuse through root hair cells by xylem vessel.

4. Absorption of dissolved food materials from the leaf to other parts of the plant by phloem.

Diffusion in plants occur when the plant need to respirate, that is, exchanging gases from its inside, with gases of the atmosphere. In respirations, there's mainly exchange of oxygen, carbon dioxyde and and water steam. For every organisms water is on of the most important molecules, if plants lose their water, they could die. So, they prevent this dessecation by exchanging gases exclusively at night, when temperatures are lower and water can't evaporate and diffuse out of the plant.

Also notice that plants respirate by their leaves with a cell arrengement called stomata.

If you light a candle is it osmosis or diffusion?

When you light a candle, the process of diffusion is occurring. As the candle burns, the wax is vaporized and releases molecules into the air. These molecules then diffuse into the surrounding environment, spreading the scent of the candle. Osmosis, on the other hand, involves the movement of water molecules across a semi-permeable membrane, which is not directly relevant to lighting a candle.

Is diffusion an example of active transport or passive transport?

Diffusion is an example of passive transport, like osmosis(the diffusion of water through a membrane).

The dispersal of ink in a beaker of water in an example of what type of diffusion?

The dispersal of ink in a beaker of water is an example of passive diffusion. This is because the ink particles move from an area of high concentration (the ink) to an area of low concentration (the water) without the need for energy input.

Is osmosis an example of facilitated diffusion or active transport?

No. Facilitated diffusion is an example of passive transport because it does not require the cell to expend energy.
