a fireburst pod is pretty much a barrel that launches gernaids. they have a stream of color behind them when they are launched. when they hit the ground, they explode. when in v.s. mode, if an opponet launches one, it might be a good idea to find cover!

Well, a 'good' game would be an entirely opinionated belief. Star Fox Assault is indeed an extremely underrated game in the Star Fox series, but I am one of the few people that definitely enjoy it. In fact, it is my favorite Star Fox game in the entire series and I certainly recommend it.
