A fraction of anything is a part of the whole. For example, 1/2 an apple, 5/8 of the class, 2/3 of a pie.
The portion of the fraction below the divide line For example, in 1/2 two is the denoninator.
It "enumerates" the portion of items being discussed.
Irrational numbers, like irrational people, have no rhyme or reason. If you divide the numerator of a fraction by the denominator, the decimal portion is in most cases non-repeating and seemingly unpredictable. For example, pi, 3.1415..., the fraction 22 divided by 7. On the other hand, a rational number can be an integer, zero, or a fraction whose decimal portion leads to a finite end. For example, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, the fraction 3 divided by 4, or 0.75.
IF THE NUMBER IS A NON-REPEATING DECIMAL USE THIS PROCEDURE: (1) The whole number to the left of the decimal will be the whole number part of the fraction. (2)Next count the number of digits to the right of the decimal. (3) Then take 10 to the power of the number of digits, this will be the denominator part of the fraction. (4) The numerator part of the fraction will be the digits after the decimal. (5) Finally, if needed, reduce the fraction to lowest terms. For example: Convert 22.456624 to a fraction. (1) 22 will obviously be the whole number part of the fraction (2) there are 6 digits to the right of the decimal so the denominator portion of the fraciton is 10^6 or 1,000,000. (3) the numerator portion of the fraction will be 456624 (4) So the number 22.456624 can be written as 22 456624/1000000 which reduces to 22 28539/62500
Just as the question is stated, that number is equivalent to 530,303/250,000 .But if the decimal portion is repeating and non-terminating, then it's equivalent to 70/33 .
The upper portion of a fraction is called the numerator.
A portion of a whole is a fraction of it.
A fraction represents a portion of a whole item.
The fraction itself.
The mixed number consists of a whole number and a fraction. Multiply the denominator of the fraction portion by the whole number and to this product add the numerator of the fraction portion. This value is the numerator of the new improper fraction. The denominator of the new improper fraction is the same as the denominator of the original fraction portion of the mixed number.
Fraction.
A portion of one.
the denominator
a portion that represents the whole
The numerator
The numerator does, but you still have to know the denominatorin order to know the size of the portion.
Equivalent fractions represents the same portion of a whole and are the same fraction.
