You get your parents something simple, like a poem, if you dont want to spend alot of money. If you're willing to spend some money on your parents, you could get your father something he likes, perhaps he likes to cook? Get him a... "Paula Dean" cooking set of pots and pans (thats what i got my dad last year!). Or, if he likes to watch TV, get him a second remote in case he loses the first one.
Your mom, on the other hand, would probably take the poem. Now, you want to spend money on her, you could get her a little glass heart with a saying or poem on it. Or just a picture. My mom's a nurse, and my dad and i got her a glass rectangle cube with a nurse's prayer on it. If you want to go with the poem thing, you could search some poems for mom and dad on the attached link.
The greatest gift you could give anyone is love :)
You could also give anything as simple as a screwdriver for dad or flowers for mom!
Anything hand-made is always treasured by them too!
Remember to give them a big hug and a card! Happy holidays!
The best Christmas gift for parents is something they enjoy, can use or will appreciate having. If one does not know what their parents might like and is having a hard time coming up with an idea that is personal in nature, checking with their friends or other members of the family for ideas is always a good recommendation.
Traditional gifts such as perfume, shower sets, clothing, jewelry, and small appliances make excellent Christmas presents for your mother. Power tools, tool boxes, cologne sets, and clothing can make great presents for your father. Gift cards have also been quite popular in the last few years, but the best gifts are the ones your parents know you put thought into.
im looking to buy my mum and dad a gift for Christmas this year, as last year I slacked and didn't get them much. I know its such a generic question, and the usual response is take them out for dinner, or favourite CD, or a photo collage. however, I'm looking for something slightly different. both my parents have been through a really tough year and its been really hard for us all and for this reason I'm looking to get them the best Christmas present as I love them both so dearly. I'm a student so don't have much money but ive found a job and will be receiving 200£ from that and would be willing to spend it all. my parents do not care about materialistic things like clothing brands and what not. I just want to make there Christmas because believe me they deserve it and so much more...
so basically, any creative, sentimental ideas that could really put a smile on my parents faces... maybe something you have done before, or would like to do... thanks. would really appreciate some help and any answer is appreciated!

Many parents like to read their children Christmas Poems for kids to get them in the Holiday Spirit. To get them excited about the upcoming Holidays and make it a fun time for the kids.
Hopefully, they don't. Parents make a lot of sacrifices for their children and buying them gifts at Christmas (and their birthdays) is a very nice way to show them they are appreciated.
They go when kids are at school or extra time when kids aren't around!!
Depends, because some kids do go to christmas parties, while some kids don't. It depends on the parents, maybe a different event occured and etc.
They open them on Christmas day, the 25th. However some parents let their kids open one small gift as well on the 24th, Christmas eve.
You can find kits for kids to make ornaments and other Christmas decorations at Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and Joann's.
