seeds, bread, ceral, stuff like that.maybe...crackers. Cheese, just about anything probably. Put it on a rat trap, and wait.
Peanut butter is my choice of bait around this farm. It is relatively cheap and sticks to the bait trigger. Rats usually eat what they know, but peanut butter seems to attract them very well.
There is a product called Provoke for Rats and one for mice.
depends, a humane way is cheese, but if the mouse/rat is really annoying you, use peanut butter or something sticky and hard to swallow so they stay on the lever longer. Peanut butter is really more effective if u want it gone.
most likely cheese but if that don't work than peanut butter
I like peanut butter but u should rap gauze around the trap release then put peanut butter on it that way it gets stuck in there teeth
cheese, crackers, leftovers (maybe like little pieces of meat or something like that)
peanut butter, work great. as long as you push it into the lever. while the rat is licking the peanut butter, it will inevitably press to hard and SNAP!
Put peanut butter on the lower part of a tree and then crumble up cheez-its and put them on the peanut butter this attracts many types of rodents such as squirrels and rabbits.
cheese rats love to eat chesse
You could trap a shrew with a havahart trap. Bait it with sardines, or peanut butter with Meal worms. If you don't catch it, hire some to do it for you.
There are several types of traps for mice. There is a trap that kills the mouse and a trap that does not kill the mouse. As for the one that does kill the mouse, this is how it works. Once the mouse goes for the bait set on the trap, once the bait is touched, the spring snaps shut.
The rat. Sometimes an accidental slight move in the trap will set it off, this would depend on how sensitive the trap is. I have had some that ate the bait and got away..not often.
get a small mammal trap and place it near an opening to the wall. Bait the trap with peanut butter and wait.
The absolute best bait for a raccoon is a Marshmallow!!!! Even raccoons who have never before been exposed to this treat are attracted to it. Many of the Provincial Parks in Canada use this bait to capture problem raccoons for relocation. Dry is fine but if you wet the marshmallow, the scent of it will carry to a raccoon from miles away.
Are you trapping cottontails? Because in some states possesion of wild rabbits is against the law. Get a live trap and bait it with carrots or grain.
When its best to hunt rabbits.... Well I'm a hunter myself. Its best to hunt them during the season because when it is hunting season the rabbits are usually hungrier due to cold and lack of food. I trap them with my bait ( a mix of apples, lettuce, and some other things I grow). Anyway the rabbits also have parasites more when its not hunting season.
You can get it on the plains, using the best bait and trap thet you can use.
fish sum times herring
The best bait for a snare trap is salt as every type of animal needs to feed have minerals. The smell of the salt can be picked up and the creature should lick it up off of the floor
Canned catfood. Pop holes in the lid, add it to your trap. Seriously.
what you need is a live trap and some apples cut the apples up into fourths throw them in the trap and then dump some apple cider around the trap to add extra scent.
In my experience, chocolate and cheese works the best, but I think you might want to buy a mouse trap first :')
apples
with white or yellow cheese...........
Breadcrumbs work fine in minnow traps
