Bike chains consists of alternately one link with outside plates and one link with inside plates. And the only way a chain will join up is outside plates to inside plates. This means that chain lengths are normally only adjustable by two full link length.

Enter the half link. The half link has outside plates at one end, but inside plates at the other, which makes it possible to adjust chain length with only one link. It's useful if you have a bike where there's limited room to adjust chain tension by moving the rear wheel.

What size half chain link do you need if you get a 25t sprocket?

Half links only come in two sizes, 1/8" and 3/32". Which one you need is determined by which chain you're running. Depending on which sprocket you had before a half link may not be enough.

How do you take a half link chain of a bmx?

If you're using a 1/2 x 3/32 chain (or "10-speed chain") on your BMX bike, you're out of luck. You can't half-link those chains. If you have a 1/2 x 1/8" chain, you can buy what's called a "half-link" (go figure!). I've seen them range from $2 to $10 and they go in place of 1 1/2 links in your chain to get you that ideal chain length if you find you don't have enough drop-out adjustment to prevent either a too loose or too tight chain.

How do you repair a bike chain?

Remove the damaged link, preferably with a chain breaker tool. If the rear wheel can be adjusted forward enough, you may be able just to put the chain back together again with the chain breaker tool. Or you may need to add a quick/master link, or a half link for it to reach around.

Why is the food chain called a chain?

The food chain is called a chain because each organism is like a link in a chain, with each link attached to the next link which is attached to the next.

Can a chain occur in the order of Evolzar Dolkka Shooting Quasar Dragon Evolzar Dolkka in Yu-Gi-Oh?

Yes. Chain link 1 is a regular monster activation. Chain link 2, Evolzar Dolkka detaches a material to try to negate chain link 1. Chain link 3, Shooting Quasar Dragon activates its quick effect to negate chain link 2. Chain link 4, Evolzar Dolkka detaches another material to negate chain link 3. End result, Chain link 4 resolves. Chain link 3 is negated, Shooting Quasar Dragon is destroyed. Chain link 3 was negated. Chain link 2 resolves. Chain link 1 is negated, the original monster is destroyed. Chain link 1 was negated.

What is a 'chain link' in Yu-Gi-Oh?

A chain link is an activated effect. If you activate something, it starts a chain, and will be chain link 1. A spell speed 2 or 3 effect can be chained to this, becoming chain link 2, and so on.

Is the strongest point in a chain the weakest?

You might be thinking of the expression, "A chain is as strong as its weakest link." This means that when the ends of a chain are pulled in opposite directions, there is stress on each link; when the weakest link breaks, the chain breaks.
