A hematoma is a collection of blood outside of a blood vessel, usually due to injury or trauma. It can result in localized swelling and discoloration of the skin, known as a bruise. Hematomas often resolve on their own as the body reabsorbs the trapped blood.

What is treatment for Heamatoma on the Butt cheeks?

Ice packs are 90% of this fix. The good news about the gluteus maximus muscles and all that area is there's a lot of blood flow so it heals fast. Ice packs go on for 10min., off for 10 min and repeat ideally for 2 hours if you have the patience. If the skin is broken treat it as a scrape. That is to say apply an antiseptic and lightly bandage.

What could a red lump be on your dogs ear?

I believe it is called an aural heamatoma. That being the build up of fluid in the tip of the dogs ear lobe, due to burst blood vessels. As far as I can tell, it is irritating to the dog, but treatment is only aesthetic. Can be treated with antibiotics, drainage or an operation requiring stitches. Usually caused by bacteria, ear mites, ticks, or foreign debris in the ear lobe. Usual signs will be scratching, tipping of the head to that side, pain on palpation and scratching.Hope that was helpful..angiekay@live.com.au

I had very bright yellow fluid drain out of my nose without warning just like a nose bleed i hit my head about an hour before on a sub box very very hard... what was the fluid was it just sinus'?

I had a similar thing happen to me, but the fluid was clear and it literally spewed out my nose. I did see a dr who told me not to worry, that it wasn't brain fluid. But in your case, get yourself to a dr, just to be sure. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Following brain injury yellow or blood stained fluid from either the nose or the ears could indicate something requiring urgent medical attention such as a bleed in the brain (haemorrhage or heamatoma) and it's always best to get it checked out by a doctor who may give you a CT scan to check for any bleeds. Other important symptoms to look out for are worsening headache, drowsiness, vomiting, seizures, uneven pupils ad loss of consciousness (that doesn't occur directly after the injury).
