A jellyfish is an animal in the cnidarian phylum along with anemones and other creatures with nematocysts (stinging cells). Some are tiny and some can grow very large (i.e. the lion's mane jelly). All jellyfish have nematocysts, however some jellies possess very weak nematocysts meant for tiny prey like copopods. The stinging cells in these jellies are generally not felt by humans with the exception of sensitive skin. Cnidarians do not possess brains, but some have eye spots for sensing light.
Weirdness is in the eye of the beholder but the creeping jellyfish are pretty peculiar.
Jellyfish are pretty much transparent. So yeah I guess there could be an 'orange jellyfish'.
yes, I am pretty sure that there are poisonous jellyfish in the Bahamas.
It's possible as jellyfish will eat pretty much anything that gets caught in their tentacles.
Pretty far
They live pretty deep down.
I'm pretty sure jellyfish don't eat other jellyfish.
Yes, that's right. A jellyfish is an invertebrate, which means that it doesn't have a backbone or spinal column. Jellyfish are pretty much a blob, and with no brain or spine, its a wonder how they survive!
im pretty sure 55 hours
I would think they are prey they are pretty much defenseless besides stingers.
I'm pretty sure leatherback sea turtles hunt jellyfish
The first animal probably resembled a jellyfish or a sponge.
