What is kitkat?

Sort of- it's a chocolate-coated wafer bar that comes in bars of either two or four strips, that can be broken off and eaten seperately. They are manufactured in England by Nestle, and are hugely popular (by the way, it's spelt 'KitKat', all one word).

A KitKat is a chocolate bar. Originated by Rowntrees of York, it is now made under licence by Hershey. The original version consisted of four wafer biscuits, each about 3" long, laid side by side with a separation of about 3/8". This is then enrobed in chocolate. The Hershey version is similar, but does not taste as good - probably because they use corn syrup in place of cane sugar.
