I would assume they are called cocks, as in aquaculture a female fish is refered to as a hen.
Actually a male fish is call a Buck.. Female=Hen.. This does not follow normal nomenclature. IE: Buck/Doe Cock/ Hen
To my knowledge there is not a specialty name for a male Clown fish.
The only term I have heard and can find is "male fish."
It is called "milt".
Males are called Spikes and females are called Fins.
Male and female fish have not been designated like other animals are, into things like cows and bulls, so they are simply called male and female.
There are several species of fish that are called "Mosquito Fish" The species most often refered to as a Mosquito Fish is the Gambusia and the male of that species grows to around 1 inch.
In most fish the females is called 'hard roe' and the males is called 'soft roe' The roe of Sturgeon and Lump Fish is usually called 'caviar'.
"Roe" is the name given to fish eggs and sperm in cooking. The eggs are called "hard roe" and the sperm (milt) is called "soft roe".
They dont have names...just female fish xD
If there is a male and female beta fish, the male probably ate them, and those 2 unlucky babies were definitely male. (male beta fish will kill other fish.)
pregfish a pregnant fish you idiot.
