Rabbits are small mammals in the family Leporidae.
The mammalian order Lagomorpha consists of rabbits, pikas, and hares. The Cottontail rabbit is of the genus sylvilagus and most are of the subgenus floridanus. (see related link)
There are several different species of common rabbit, such as Oryctolagus (common European), Sylvilagus (cottontail), Lepus (jack rabbits and hares), and Brachylagus (pygmy rabbit). All these versions fall under the family Leporidae, which is part of the greater order Lagomorph.
Contrary to popular belief, rabbits are not rodents or in anyway related to the family Rodentia.

Because a rabbit is an animal and a jaguar is too but they have different kinds of way of living so they aren't quite suppose to be in order
Healthy rabbits clean themselves and do not need baths. Baths can be dangerous for rabbits. Unless necessary, do not bathe your rabbit. If a bath is necessary, this means something is wrong and probably the rabbit needs to see a vet. If you need to bathe a rabbit, take certain precautions to make ensure you keep the rabbit safe. See the related question below for details and links. Are you sure you're taking proper care of the rabbit? The classroom is not the ideal setting for a rabbit.
The rabbit in The Velveteen Rabbit is just called "Rabbit"; it has no other name.
'Rabbit' means a animal which have 'ears' like 'donkey' so 'rabbit' have 'donkey' like 'ears' and because of this we say 'rabbit' to a 'rabbit'.
Cooked rabbit is known as "Fryer rabbit".
Mammalia

phylum
Rabbits of all kinds, wild or domestic, are in the class Mammalia.
it depends. if you have a bigger rabbit they usually live for at least 5 years. smaller rabbits usually live for 7 or longer. by smaller i mean your 4 class breeds and bigger are your 6 class breeds.
The terms 4 class and 6 class Rabbits has to do with showing them. Example - When you say That a Mini Rex is a 4 class Rabbit that means it is shown in 4 different classes, The classes depend on sex and age so you have Junior Bucks, Junior Does then senior bucks and senior does. Example - If you say That the satin is a 6 class breed that means There is a Junior doe, Junior buck, Intermediate doe, Intermediate buck, senior doe and senior buck class. They never show Bucks against does and Juniors against seniors unless its for best of variety - Best Rabbit of That color no matter what sex or age best of breed - Best Rabbit of that breed no matter what color, sex or age best of show - Best Rabbit no matter what color sex breed or age

The average litter for a 6 Class rabbit is 8 to 10, for a 4 class rabbit the average number is 4 to 6. Exception to this seems to be the Havanas who consistently had 8 babies for me even though they are a 4 class animal.
