I have done the research. Syncopation is used by poets like James Dickey. Prime example is "Sheep Boy" in which there are two separate voices intermingled to tell the same narrative. The same thing can be seen in "Falling" where the voices are intermingled, one being the author the other the stewardess falling through space. Syncopation done right eventually brings unity of theme through the voices and their point of view may remain isolated.
