The indicator code 'SI1' means that the diamond has one slight inclusion, or flaw visible to the naked eye.
In diamonds, the initials SI represents the term slightly included. From Wikipedia:"Slightly Included category (SI) diamonds have noticeable inclusions that are easy to very easy for a trained grader to see when viewed under 10x magnification. The SI category is divided into two grades; SI1 denotes a higher clarity grade than SI2. These may or may not be noticeable to the naked eye."SI, then, is not a unit used in diamond cutting.
A diamond will scratch anything and everything, including another diamond.

No, a diamond is not magnetic.
Original is not a term normally used in a context with diamonds. If you mean real or natural, then take your diamond to a jeweler who can use a probe to determine if the diamond is a real diamond. The jeweler may not be able to tell whether the diamond is a natural diamond or a man-made diamond: for that determination, please take your diamond to a certified gemologist.
Today on Blue Nile, you can purchase a one carat SI1 diamond and pay about US$4,759; and a one carat VVS1 diamond and pay about US$12,252.
The value of a diamond depends on its cut, its clarity, its colour and its carat weight. A local jeweler can give you the answer you want.
Any diamond is worth whatever someone will pay you for it. You've only given two of the four characteristics used to value a diamond, lacking its cut and its carat weight.
Hi there. While images of an actual H SI1 diamond are hard to come by on the internet, it is for good reason. Video cameras, even the most advanced ones, cannot magnify a diamond 10x to show the inclusions in the diamond, and even if it did, you may have a hard time finding where they are and what they look like anyway. So what I found was an illustration of an SI1 diamond. The link lets you actually play with different clarities and compare one to the other. The second link that I found gives you a good indication of what an "H" color diamond looks like. I would also have to congratulate you on choosing an "H SI1" because that is in the range where you get more "bang for your buck." Staying in the top of the near-colorless range and in the slightly included clarity range ensures that you get an eye-clean, face up white stone. In this situation, you can get a bigger stone for less money than if you went whiter or cleaner. Once you get any higher in clarity or color people won't notice a difference between an H SI1 and a D VVS2 to their naked eye. If youre not one of those guys that needs a D Flawless diamond just to say he has one, then save yourself the money and stick with a diamond with a quality similar to this one. So, hats off to you. Anyways, dont forget those links to get a better idea of what Im talking about.
It will cost between $1000 and $2100.
SI1 has the fewest and smallest inclusions, while SI2 has more and larger inclusions. This doesn't mean that SI clarity diamonds are a poor choice. In fact, most SI1 clarity diamonds will look just as good as a higher clarity diamond.

James Avery is apparently a chain retail jeweler. A 52 carat diamond is extremely large, and probably not a stone sold by this firm. You can buy a .52 (half-carat) diamond of this quality from Blue Nile today and spend from ~US$700 to ~US$800.
Best practices dictate that you take your jewelery to a certified gemologist who can document your jewelery and give you a value for it. Today, on Blue Nile, you can purchase a similar diamond that has not been enhanced and pay US$6,100 to US$7,700, depending on the cut, color and carat weight of the diamond.
Clarity enhanced diamonds are real, mined diamonds that have had their clarity/quality improved by cleaning and cloaking any visible imperfections in the diamond. Clarity enhanced diamonds are lower in price than 100% natural diamonds and therefore for every given carat weight and quality, the price will be lower. Clarity enhanced diamonds are graded after the enhancement and therefore if the diamond was originally F/SI1 and is now F/VS2, it will be priced lower as if it were still F/SI1, however will look like F/VS2.
