Best Answer

Any solid can be placed in a liquid. If the solid is less dense then it will float. If it is not soluble and its melting temperature is higher than the temperature of the liquid it will remain solid and not become part of a mixture.

any solid can be converted into liquid except those which becomes sublimed.
