One must choose with care. Written word is a powerful form of magic. Story holds much power. It is possible to enter into any story and thus change the story. One cannot enter any "book". You could not enter a financial ledger, a phone book, or a dictionary. You can enter any book that is story. The power and skill of the writer often determine the ease with which the willing traveller can enter the tale.

The following steps are generally effective:

(1) Read the story carefully. It is often necessary to read it many times. There is no need to attempt memorization. It is suggested to read comfortably at a natural pace.

(2) Visualize your being in the midst of the story. Clothe yourself in the visual imagery as you need be clothed. Provide the image with the necessary tools. Practice the visualization over the course of seven days. If you are not well versed int he techniques of self visualization and imagery, seek a mentor.

(3) Obtain a sheet of rice paper and tear it into a small piece, about the size of your thumb. Do not use a blade or a scissors: tear it with your own hands. DO not let another tear it for you.

(4) Prepare ink from a berry. It is best to use a small wooden mortar and pestle. Prepare a crystal goblet with clear spring water.

(5) With a thin piece of wood still alive ( a toothpick will not do), dipped into the fresh juice ink, write the spell on the rice paper:

(7) Dip the wood with ink in the goblet of spring water and swirl the water seven times clockwise and seven counter clockwise. Let the goblet rest until the water is perfectly still.

(8) Put the paper in your left palm. Dip your right index finger in the goblet and wait a moment then slowly lift it out, disturbing the water as little as you can. Allow a single drop to fall on the paper. Wait until the water is still. Repeat this six more times for a total of seven drops.

(9) Roll the paper in your palm into a tiny ball. Hold it in between your right thumb-tip and the tip of your right index finger.

(10) Speak the spell "OSTI EBTIL LIWI SA" in a whisper, with your throat wide open, without vocalization: just the force of your breath.

(11) Place the ball of paper on the tip of your tongue and drink the spring-water from the goblet, emptying the glass.

(12) Open the book to the place you wish to make your entrance and read the page. Visualize yourself entering the scene.

(13) Lie down in a comfortable and safe place where you will be undisturbed. Close your eyes.

(14) Have a safe journey and return safely, enhanced by the experience.
