A vertical line of cells is called a column. An actual vertical line that has been drawn with the drawing toods, has no particular name. Those that separate one column from another are gridlines, as are the horizontal lines. Cells also can have borders, which can be vertical or horizontal. On a chart it can be the Y Axis.
