its called an Estuary... An estuary is a semi-enclosed coastal body of water with one or more rivers or streams flowing into it, and with a free connection to the open sea.[1] Estuaries are often associated with high rates of biological productivity.
It's called "mixing."
If you mean what term is used for the result, it's usually called "brackish water."
One place this is likely to happen is in an estuary.
confluence for streams - might apply for rivers as well
When fresh water from an ocean meets river, it is called an estuary.
The sea i think.
Saltwater Intrusion
It is a river mouth.
EsturaryExplanation...A partially-enclosed coastal region where sea water mixes with freshwater is called an estuary. Estuaries are typically found at the mouth of a stream or river. Estuaries are complex ecosystems, rich in marine life.----------------------------------

An estuary (what I believe you meant to ask about) is a partially enclosed body of water where freshwater meets and mixes with saltwater, such as a river meeting a sea.
estuaryAn estuary is a partly enclosed coastal body of water with one or more rivers or streams flowing into it, and with a free connection to the open sea
"Freshwater" doesn't necessarily mean "clean" water - it just means water that does not have a concentration of salt like sea water does. A stream can be muddy and still be freshwater. Or a river can be muddy and be freshwater, or saltwater, or a combination of both.
The correct answer is estuary. I even have a back-up reason. Here I go...Explanation-A partially-enclosed coastal region where sea water mixes with freshwater is called an estuary. Since sea water is much denser than freshwater, the pH level would be higher. The saline levels in the sea water contributes to a higher acidic level.
The river is freshwater
A lake has freshwater and the sea has salt water.
Beacause it could kill you and make you have to go to the hospital. This is why we can only drink freshwater.
No. Freshwater does not have the same amount of dissolved materials as sea water. Sea water has a much greater amount of salt dissolved in it.
