cbse
ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) board is more focused on holistic education with a wider range of subjects and an emphasis on language proficiency. CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) board is focused on a more structured and exam-oriented approach with a common curriculum across all its affiliated schools. Both boards are recognized in India and abroad for higher education.
Of course a big no - no,as every one knows that icse board is much tougher then that of cbse, cbse is favourable to get better marks in board exams but icse should be recommended most as its English is of high standard, icse use to teach in detail which is helpful bt on other hand marks is also needed for good scope in future which is favoured by cbse....I m also a student of icse board studying in class 11 and but have knowledge of these boards...Dont think friend to get into icse as u must hv a habit of studying cbse easy pattern as compared to icse....Hope so u will take right decision.. . . .. . ..

ICSE is tougher than CBSE
CBSE stands for Central Board of Secondary Education, while ICSE stands for Indian Certificate of Secondary Education. CBSE is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, whereas ICSE is a private board of school education in India. Both boards conduct exams for students at the secondary and higher secondary levels.
Both ICSE and CBSE syllabi have their own level of difficulty. ICSE is known for its detailed and comprehensive syllabus with a focus on English language and literature. CBSE, on the other hand, emphasizes application-based learning and has a slightly broader syllabus. Ultimately, the difficulty level depends on individual student's learning style and capability.
igcse is more beneficial for those students who want to make their future in foreign countries such as U.K. igcse does not require any ILETS test you get straight admission in university or collage.
CBSE I would say.
cbse is better than ssc and icse
I studied in CBSE for 12 years, from Kintergarden to Xth and moved over to State Board (TN) for my higher secondary. From my experience, I would rate ICSE to be the toughest, followed by CBSE and State. ICSE / CBSE syllabi are designed to promote thinking among children, going by the way examination questions are framed (answers to questions are not directly found in textbooks but are related to the syllabus) whereas state board examinations are usually straightforward questions from the book. The downside of ICSE / CBSE (esp if you happen to be in TN) is that you stand a much lesser chance of landing a seat in popular colleges (Engg / Med) since the entrance exams for these are based on state board syllabus and students from state board score much higher than those from ICSE / CBSE since they are considered on a level platform irrspective of the boards. also it is the cbse syllabus which helps one to crack all sorts of competitive exams and it brings out the true knowledge of a person.
