Since aldactone is a potassium-sparing diuretic it is important not to drink orange juice in excess, or eat too many oranges or bananas, as well as any other potassium rich foods.

Minoxidil 2% is a topical treatment that can be prescribed by a dermatologist. However at this time it has not been approved by the FDA. Other treatments include Spironolactone (under the brand name Aldactone), Tagamet, and oral contraceptives. It is best to discuss your options with your doctor. http://www.americanhairloss.org/women_hair_loss/treatment.asp
well my endo and my derm both agreed to put me on 200mg per day, i believe that for regrowth, you need at least 100mg. it is however in my opinion better to start with 50 or even 25 and increase the dosage progressively, that way your body tolerance increases too and the side effects are a lot milder :)
Birth-control pills alone cause this condition to stabilize in one of every two patients and to improve in one of every 10. When spironolactone (Aldactone) is prescribed to suppress hair growth, 70% of patients experience improvement.
The only sure cure is kidney transplant. But a cure may not be necessary with only modest pharmaceutical treatment. Liddle Syndrome is a permanent genetic condition. In most cases, it is inherited from a parent who may be unaffected but is a carrier of the genetic defect. However, a few cases of new missense mutations are reported, and this means the defect originated in the patient, not his/her parents. Successful treatment is reported with certain potassium-sparing diuretics, but some of these drugs (Aldactone for example) are not effective. This is an overlooked possible diagnosis for essential hypertension.
