i think your meaning emphysema. Emphysema is a lung disorder . See you have tiny air sacs in your lungs called Alevioli and what they do is they fill up with air and it takes the oxygen out and then excretes carbon dioxide and goes into your lungs and then is exhailed . In emphysema these tiny sacs explode and deteriorate. so there are less of them to use which means your lungs have to work harder and harder to get the adequate oxygen your body needs to work. This disease is characterized by shortness of breath trouble breathing coughing and in some cases coughing up blood.
