It is a specially designed socket that has a slit on the side so you can connect it to the O2 sensor and have the O2 sensor wires come through that slit. You can get them at Sears and probable auto parts stores. They work well. HTH
You can find it in the exhaust manifold. There is only one sensor over there. Sometimes the sensor is called oxygen sensor because on some Camry models at the same location the oxygen sensor is installed. Most of camries have oxygen sensor.
where is the oxygen sensor in a 1995 gmc jimmy
no. the upstream sensor is the one before the catalytic converter and the downstream is the one after
I cleaned one once, fully expecting to have to buy a new one, with a very fine wire brush and or steel wool and a little wax and grease remover on a rag. Ididn'thave to buy a new one. the check engine light went out and it ran fine. Hope this helps.
Screwed into the exhaust system. Follow the exhaust system from the engine rearward and you will find the oxygen sensor or sensors if it if it has more than one.
Let me know if you find out. i am having trouble locting which one is 1 and which is 2... I was told i needed to replace the #1 oxygen sensor
Find cylinder one, usually on the driver side. That is Bank one side, then go to the second O2 sensor, which will be the one after the cat converter.
Bank one sensor two refers to the oxygen sensor. The bank one sensor two oxygen sensor is on the front side of the engine, after the catalytic converter.
Have you check the manifold? There should be one at the manifold and one at the catalyc! Hope you find it!
Depending on if you have a Cali Spec eclipse or a Fed. Spec eclipse, If you have a Federal Spec. you only have an oxygen sensor before the cat and right after the cat. and you won't have one in the header.
Just before the catalytic converter on the exhaust
Sensor one is in the exhaust manifold on the back of the engine. Sensor two is in the side of the catalytic converter.
