It is a carbon chain attached to a carbonyl group that is attached to a halide. R-carbonyl grp-X where X= F, Cl, or any other halide. It is the same thing as an Acyl Halide. Hope this helps!

What are Bis-allylic protons?

Bis allylic protons are nuclei of hydrogen atoms (bonded to the same carbon atom) that are in allylic positions with respect to two different C=C double-bonds. For example, the bolded hydrogen atoms in the structure below represent bis allylic protons, since they are in an allylic position with respect to the C=C bonds on both the left and the right.R-CH=CH-CH2-CH=CH-R

Give at least two examples of minerals in each group?

silicate: feldspar and mica non-silicate: halides and native gold

Are carbonates and halides silicate or non silicate?

carbonates and halides are non-silicates.

What is a short note of allylic halogenation?

Halogenation is the result that occurs when a chemical is mixed with a halogen.

Halides oxides and sulfates are examples of?

They are examples of anions. Atoms or compounds with the ide ending are anions as are those with endings of ite or ate.

What are some examples of nonsilicate minerals?

A non silicate mineral is a mineral that does not hold silica tetrahedron. Some examples of non silicate minerals are oxides, sulfides, sulfates, halides, and carbonates.

Why vinyl halides and arylic halides are less reactive than other halides?

In vinyl and arylic halides, Carbon Halogen bond have double bond character due to presence of lone pair of electron on halogen atom. So it can not be easily broken as compared to carbon halogen bond in other halides, so they are more reactive than other halides.

Are carbonates and halides silicate or non silicate?

carbonates and halides are non-silicates.
