Correction: there are many Roman "things" that start with Q. Here are some: quadra--a square, quadrans, a coin, quadrigae, a racing chariot, quaestor, a treasury official, qualus, as wicker basket, quercus, the military crown of oak leaves, and quirites, the formal connotation of Roman citizens. There are many more.
"Roman things" or Latin words starting with a q are: qua which means which or where, quadrans, which was a coin, quadra, which was a square, quaestor, who was an elected official, and Quintus, a common name. We have to have a word for each letter of the alphabet. For "Q" I put quail. The Greek god Hephaestus's' favorite bird was the quail.
