It actually varies with the individual species of birds, you'll need to be more specific as to which type you are wanting to know about.

A baby crying.
first of all, you need to ask yourself, why is my cat crying? maybe a recent move a recent death in the family or a kitten. if you have a kitten the reason it may be crying is because it needs more attention. If there was a recent death your cat will realize that and you have to let it get over that person it may take awhile but the cat will realize that the person is gone for good. If you reccently moved your cat might be crying cause it doesn't know what's happening.Their is always the possibility that your cat is missing an object did you reccently give away or misplace one of your cat's favorite toys? If none of these seem to work then i suggest you take t to a vet.

The spelling of the sound a baby makes when crying is "waaaah". Some babies might also be yelling "maaaaaaaa maaaaaaaa", as if they are asking for their mother.
