well... that depends on how long that 45 yr old has been swimming. It also depends on whether the swimmer is female or male
my dad is 45 and he can easily go 28 seconds for 50 free
my mom is 45 and she can go a 33 for 50 free
however, both of my parents swan as kids.
if you have not swam as a child the average time for a man would be about 37 seconds. the average time for a woman would be 42 seconds
It changes for every one. It depends on what you mean by average. a good competitive time is about a 1 minute.
usually around 28.6 ish
31 seconds
It depends on the swim stroke. For Freestyle, the fastest 50m world record is held by a US swimmer named Steve Crocker. The time is: 21.64. For Butterfly, the fastest 50m world record is held by UK swimmer Mark Foster, at 23.55. For Breaststroke, the 50m world record is held by Mark Warnecke of Germany, with a time of 27.00. And for Backstroke, the 50m world record is claimed by another US swimmer, Jeff Rouse, who swam it in just 24.37.
so that people can swim in them
Speed = distance/time interval = 50m/25min = 2m/min
A great swimmer in the 50m.100m freestyle and 50m.100m.200m butterfly. individual medley 200m
I think the fastest swimming technique is using your hands and your feet at the same time so the movement of your body helps you go faster through the water.
I am not sure who told you this, but it is a real event! If your asking why it is not and olympic event, its is because it is to short and the Olympic Program has no time for it.

There is no official world record for the 400m butterfly but There is a postal swim sanctioned by United States Masters that is tracking times swum by USMS or FINA members at www.swimflyfast.com USMS or FINA members can swim the distance in a swim meet or on their own with a witness and submit times. This postal event runs from October 15 2013 to August 31 2014. A new postal event will start again next Sept 1. Backstroke and Breaststroke events are tracked as well, including a 3 x 500 IM (non-crawl)
My time is a 26.54 But im pretty fast for my age! an average time on my swim team is a 29.12 I'm on HAY Lightning Swim team ___________________________ Depends if its your first year or not. I'm 12 too, and its my first year. My 50m free time is 37.35 (I know it sucks) But I'm a distance swimmer, so my 100m free time is 1:24.13 (Which is good) So if its your first year expect to be around 39-32
