Beta particles are made of either electrons (or their opposite particle - positrons). They are emitted from certain atomic nuclei in the process of radioactive decay. Electrons and positrons are considered one of a class of subatomic particles called "Elementary Particles". Elementary particles are believed to have no further substructure, and are therefore made only of energy by the formula E= mc^2.

Fully ionized helium nuclei.

All the helium currently on earth was Alpha radiation from radioactive rock. The nuclei quickly captured electrons and became trapped. Helium balloons would be impossible without Alpha radiation.

There are two types of beta particles - beta minus (or just beta) and its anti-particle, the beta plus.

The beta minus is an electron.

The beta plus is a positron.

Whether an electron is a particle is another question entirely!

Beta particle is made up of an electron particle of negative charge. However, if said positive beta particle, then it is made up of positron that is equivalent to electron but with positive charge.

It's a free electron (or positron). It also consists of fast moving electrons that are emitted from unstable nuclei.

Alpha particles are helium-4 nuclei - 2 protons + 2 neutrons.

Beta particles are either electrons, or anti-electrons (also known as positrons).
