The Orca or Killer Whale is an Apex predator along with the Great White Shark. The Orca is at the top of the food chain in the ocean. It has no known predators. Recently, scientists wondered if the Great White Shark preyed on Orca.
Researchers observed Orca, working and communicating in a pod, attacking a Great White shark. While one orca flipped the shark on its back, which causes it to go into a form of shock, other Orca ripped it apart. So, Killer Whales are the dominant or "alpha" predator in the ocean.
== Another example ==Black, Brown and Polar bears are all Apex predator's, They have no known predators preying on them. This is the definition of Apex Predator, no predator preys on them.
