semi truck, or semi tractor trailer, and 18 wheeler.
semi cab
Big truck, semi, 18 wheeler.
Another name for a tractor or a trailer with two consonants removed from the right is "cart." The word "tractor" minus the last two consonants "or" becomes "cat," and "trailer" minus the last two consonants "er" becomes "trail," which are both synonyms for a cart.
Semi Truck oer 18 Wheeler (Eighteen Wheeler)
Start by dropping your trailer. You will notice there are wheels on only one end. A trailer like that is a "semitrailer." A "full trailer" has wheels at both ends. The official name is a "tractor-semitrailer," shortened to "semi."
Any vehicle towing a trailer or other vehicle is, in essence, a tractor. If the dump truck is towing another vehicle (trailer, etc.), then it is a truck tractor. If it isn't, then it's just a straight truck.
The tractor weighs 20,000 pounds, the trailer weighs whatever it weighs, and the maximum weight of a loaded tractor trailer with one trailer is 80,000 pounds.
tractor trailer
I would have to say no. I have a tractor that is insured the only thing that is insured is just that the tractor (fire theft etc). Although You can get your trailer insured just as you can an ATV horse trailer car truck if you had a policy for it. your tractor insurance will not help with the trailer.

Landing gear.
The first major difference is the trailer, which turns on a pivot point. Another major difference is the blind spot. In a car, you can look out the rear window at things directly behind you - not so with a tractor-trailer.
