the scientific name for coccyx is tailbone. all animals are have one. even human did. in the development of the fetus the coccyx is present but over time it is no longer there. there are some cases where humans are born with a tail and people think it is a genetic mutation but in reality those 1 in a million fetuses did not loose their tail during development.
