Are there caucasian members of bglo's?
Of course! There are in fact plenty of "caucasian" members of Black Greek Lettered Organizations. If you do research, you will find that there are even conspiracy theories stating that some of the original founders are these organizations were caucasian, but this is a theory and has no factual evidence. There are especially caucasian "Honorary Members" of bglo's, such as Eleanor Roosevelt and Laura Bush (alpha kappa alpha sorority). It is simply ridiculous to think that a bglo would deny membership based upon race/ethnicity. This would be a form of discrimination. BGLO's were formed to uplift blacks, but it does not deny any other race. Currently, there are caucasians in each of the nine BGLO's that exist. Is Barack Obama a member of any black Greek organizations?
No, President Obama does not seem to have joined one. There have been various rumors online, but no evidence to support them. He has been named an honorary member of several fraternal organizations, but there's not much proof that he joined a fraternity in college.
Can Spanish or Latin girls be alpha kappa alpha?
IMPROVED ANSWER-- YES! Alpha Kappa Alpha is referred to as an "historically black" sorority because it was started by African American women on an African American college campus, but we do not discriminate based on ethnicity. As an aside, I've often wondered why we preface BGLO's with the phrase "historically Black," when no one refers to GLO's started by Caucasians on Caucasian college campuses--which actually DID DISCRIMINATE BASED ON ETHNICITY--as "historically Caucasian," even though it would be an accurate identification (the same goes for HBCUs, which are often quite diverse). Anyway, that's a rant in and of itself. lol In fact, Alpha Kappa Alpha probably has more "other than African American" members than the historically caucasion sororities have members who are "other than Caucasian." In my experience, in an undergraduate chapter that averaged about 5 members, there were two Latina (Mexican and Puerto Rican) girls. There are also a few non-black members of my graduate chapter.

If you mean BGLO (Black Greek Letter Organizations), it depends on what you call "history". Each of the organizations have their own history which you can research individually, though the movement itself dates to 1904 (not the 1906 a certain organization would have you believe) with the advent of Sigma Pi Phi, the oldest known Black Greek Letter Organization. Organized in Philadelphia, it remains as a graduate level organization. Membership is "inivitation only".
