Computer ethics are how to use technology in an ethical/moral way. Ethics can vary as computers adopt and change.

Ethics on say, how to treat punch cards in the 70's are very different from how to use a cell phone in 2012.

Some ethical guidelines include:

  • attributing code where borrowed
  • NOT TYPING IN ALL CAPS
  • not talking on a cell phone during an important meeting

etc.
