CR-V's had timing BELTS up until the '02 model year. The factory recommended interval for replacing it is 105,000 miles. After '02 they were equipped with timing CHAINS which should seldom need replacement unless subjected to SEVERE usage. Due to the widely varying costs of mechanical work you must contact some shops and dealerships in your own area to determine this cost.
I heard from a mechanic at a dealer in Canada that replacing the timing chain can run about 2000.00. To replace the cvt tranny can cost you up to 5500.00. BUY A HONDA ACCORD INSTEAD......
$0.00 It has a chain and NOT a belt.
There is no timing belt on 2004 Honda accord, but a timing chain.
A timing chain is designed to last the life of the engine.
On my 2000 S-10 cost about $400.00. My timing chain keeps going out. waranteed part so they must keep replacing it.
You timing belt replacement will cost approximately $500. Replacing the timing belt is very complicated and detailed. A novice mechanic should not attempt to do it.
NO. There is a timing chain, and under most conditions, lasts the life of the vehicle. Do not get hooked into replacing the timing chain unless absolutely necessary with high mileage and extreme engine abuse. It would cost about $1500 at the dealer.
For my '88 Civic, it cost me right at $180 to replace back in '97.
How much does it cost to fit timing chain on a mini cooper
Honda what???????
Go to a mechanic as soon as possible. The timing chain may be going bad. If it breaks you will be replacing an engine, although Cadillac has an open recall on the timing chain on these cars and will replace it at no cost or little cost to you.
That car, like all 2002 Corollas, has a 1 ZZ FE 1.8L with a timing chain, no belt
