∙ 13y agoclosed system is mostly a closed system with respect to matter but is still an open system for energy while for open system exchanged between a system and the surrounding environment. matter was added to the early earth through the collisions of comets and meteorites with your planet.

are system which allow user to contribute, manipulate, edit, user, reuse, MASH up, and in some way actually create or alter content and the actual programming of the system. Example of open system include wordpress and Unix to a lesser extent Facebook. If we can modify the software it is probably an open system.
Closed system
are system which allow user to use cotent as is, with minimal to modification to the actual system or program. User may email content, but the amout of what ca be done is very small. Example of closed systems include many library catalogue softwares, email software, Microsoft office, web browser.
