First of all , to correct your spelling, it is 'Heliocentric'.
This word can be divided into to parts. 'helio' and 'centric'.
'Helio' from the Classical Greek for 'Sun'.
'Centric' for 'centre'.
Its meaning is that the Sun is at the centre of the Solar system.
Prior to about 500 years ago, everyone thought that the Earth was the centre of everything., and that the Sun, Moon, & Stars revolved asround the Earth.
However, a German/Polish astronomer , Copernicus'. said that the Sun was the centre. He did this from close observation of the Sun Moon and Stars.
It caused a very big controversy at the time, but other astronmers eventually confirmed his findings. So we know today that the Earth is a very small part of the Heliocentric Solar System.
