You cannot get married if you are already married. A church may be willing to bless your marriage.
You are already sacramentally married, but like any anniversary marriage, you can renew your vows at Mass just as if you were getting married again.
yes, but they will have to go through their priest to nullify the marriage due to improper form
When he first got married, his wife-to-be was already pregnant, so they got married quickly.
Catholic AnswerMarriage. There is no such thing as "blessing" a civil or other religious marriage, you are either married in the eyes of the Church or you are not. If you are not, then you must get married, it is a real marriage ceremony. We have these all the time when a Catholic has been married outside the Church and the non-Catholic spouse goes through RCIA and converts, then they are married in the Church. "Blessing" is just a nice non-judgmental word to explain what you are doing to your protestant relatives who think you are already married.
The fact that you are already a Christian allows you to go to any Christian church. However not all so called Christian churches practice what they preach. If you are not a member of a particular Christian church you may not be allowed admittance. Thankfully there are few of these about. When my wife and I asked to be married in her local Christian Church of England we were refused as my wife did not attend that church even though she was a Christian.
AnswerYes. The church is required by law to verify that you are not already married, before performing your marriage. They therefore need to know that you have been married before and that you are now divorced and can be married again. Also, some churches will not perform marriages for divorced people, and are then entitled to know whether you have already been married. If being honest with your church minister results in the church declining to marry you because of your divorce, you may either look for another church or talk to a marriage celebrant, who can perform a civil wedding if you are divorced.
They wouldn't have to ... being as they are already Mr. and Mrs. Smith, they are already married.
You do not need to be baptized to be married in a Mormon church. However, you do need to be baptized to be married in an LDS (Mormon) Temple. The temple is where members of the church are married for "time and all eternity", believing that through the power of priesthood authority which was restored to the earth through Heavenly Messengers to the prophet Joseph Smith, their marriage will be valid after death. Because Presbyterian Confirmation is not recognized by the Catholic Church.
It depends on what kind of parish. If he is Catholic, then no, he can not marry because he is already "married" to mother church. However, if he is an Ipiscable priest and is married, but deciedes to become Catholic, then he may be a married Catholic priest.
You can, but you should go to Confession for engaging in premarital sex (which is a mortal sin).
