The short answer is ...... Everything.
From the moment your PC starts to show you the Windows XP ( or whatever boot screen your OS has) till the moment you shut it down. Everything you do with your computer, everything that is drawn onto the screen, everything you do while using your computer is store into the Computers Memory.
The only exceptions would be when you click file and Save on lets say a Word Document. Then that document is taken from memory and written to the hard drive.
Internal memory on a computer is kept on the hard drive. The hard drive holds the memory for all things downloaded to the computer, and all web sites visited. External memory is usually kept on a device like a USB memory stick or a CD. External memory can be accessed by plugging it into the computer.
The operator system is software- a program that controls the computer. It is usually stored on the hard drive when the computer is not running and is read into a special portion of main memory when the computer is booted up. (There is a boot strap program stored on a chip that loads the O. S. into memory. ) Some of the routines needed by the operating system are not kept in the main memory but are read in only as they are needed.
While working with the document, its data is kept in RAM. However, to store implies a permanent nature, so one could argue that, while the working data is kept in RAM, the document is permanently stored on a suitable non-volatile (permanent) media, such as a hard disk drive or a flash memory part.
storage refers to the keeping of data and information for later. in computer science there are two types of storage that is primary storage and secondary storage in primary storage data is kept temporary in ROM(read only memory) while in secondary storage data is kept permanently like on hard disk, tape, cds.
Virtual Memory is kept in a RAM chip inside a computer and is described as "volatile" i.e it will disappear when a computer is switched off, you also will find it inside graphics cards (the more it has, the more complex graphics it can process.) Many windows and some Unix systems also use a small portion of the hard drive as virtual memory, though you can set limits on this or remove it entirely.
Memory foam pillows do indeed keep the spine in alignment while sleeping as being kept at the head does this exact thing to the rest of the body. It is quite a miraclious invention.
Diesels are kept running while parked for various reasons. In cold weather, a diesel may be very difficult to start so it is better to leave it running. Maybe the engine is needed to run heat or A/C for the sleeper cab.
Windows\System32 Access services application to administrate services: %windir%\system32\services.msc
He didn't have one. He was kept on the defensive, while steadily running out of men and supplies.
They did the jobs the mens used to do & kept factories & other work places running while men were at war
Typically for faster transfer rates to the CPU (also notice that RAM is in between the CPU and the Hard drive connectors)
Although memory is technically any form of electronic storage, it is used most often to identify fast, temporary forms of storage. If your computer's CPU had to constantly access the to retrieve every piece of data it needs, it would operate very slowly. When the information is kept in memory, the CPU can access it much more quickly. Most forms of memory are intended to store data temporarily.
