Malpractice in elections in India refers to any illegal or unethical activities that attempt to manipulate the electoral process, such as voter bribery, booth capturing, impersonation, rigging, tampering with electronic voting machines, or spreading false information. These malpractices undermine the fairness and integrity of elections and are punishable by law. Efforts are made by the Election Commission of India to prevent and address such malpractices to ensure free and fair elections.
