Neloxican is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is used primarily for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. It is a derivative of oxicams and is often employed in the treatment of conditions such as rheumatoid Arthritis and osteoarthritis. Neloxican works by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), which play a key role in the production of prostaglandins, substances that mediate inflammation and pain. Its use, however, may be limited due to potential side effects common to NSAIDs, such as gastrointestinal issues.
