Does anyone know how to save Pokemon chaos black on vba ROM?
Click on File, then Save, and make a file for your save. Every time you turn on the ROM, you'll click on File, then Load, and open your save file.
What is Pokesav and how do you use it?
First, you have to get the "NO$GBA - VBA Save File COnverter" Download Here. Then, you have to go inside the "INI" folder of NO$GBA, and change the spot where it says "Compressed" to "Uncompressed". (If you don't know how to do this, you can simply do it on the save file converter by pressing "Configure") Next, go into NO$GBA Save file converter and choose the directory of your save file for your game. Then, press "Convert". Wait a few seconds and it will say that it was converted. Go into your save file directory and it will have a new save file called "NewSaveGame" If something goes wrong then its okay because it automatically creates a backup save file for you. After that, rename the "NewSaveGame" to match the name of your old save file. Finally, go into pokesav, and open your game. In pokesav, you can practically hack whatever you want on Pokemon diamond and pearl. Like edit what Pokemon you have, what moves they have, their stats, what items you have, how much money you have, even your name and gender! lol so its pretty much like a AR

You can't save using the in-game menu when you use an emulator. Instead, and this is for the VBA specifically, go to File > Save Game > and choose the slot you'd like to use. When you want to play the game you saved, open up the game file as per usual and then go to File > Load Game > choose your game.

A SGM file is created when you Save a State using the VBA emulator to open this file you need to load the Firered game onto the VBA like normal then go under File then Load State a window will appear to the right showing all the States you have created select the correct State you want to load by clicking on it then the emulator will load up that State.

well i had this problem once. if its on the emulator u have 2 make a copy of the Pokemon pearl or diamond file and paste it in the battery file that is created when u downloaded the vba file. then save ur game and restart it and ur file will be saved.
