non volatile memory is memory that doesn't wipe after the computer shuts down e.g: Flash memory.

Non-volatile memory remains after power is removed from a device. Volatile memory dissipates once external power is removed. Most flash drives would be considered non-volatile memory as would most programmable chips used in electronic devices. Internal memory in a computer, like RAM and CPU on-chip memory is usually volatile.

when the power is lost the data will be lost in volatile memory eg.RAM, As in the case of Non-volatile memory the data will never lost as when the power lost eg.ROM.
