∙ 13y agoNon-volatile memory remains after power is removed from a device. Volatile memory dissipates once external power is removed. Most flash drives would be considered non-volatile memory as would most programmable chips used in electronic devices. Internal memory in a computer, like RAM and CPU on-chip memory is usually volatile.
