P represents the parental generation in a genetic cross. F1 represents the offspring of the P generation.

F1 Generation
F1 Generation
F1 refers to the first generation of offspring (children) of two individuals. It can refer to many different organisms, not just animals. P would be used to indicate the 2 parents, and F1 are their children (and F2 would be the second generation of offspring of P, so P's grandchildren and F1's children, and so on) These P and F terms are terms from the field of genetics, used in the study of natural populations and crossing experiments. A famous example is the crossing experiments with peas by Gregos Mendel, who was the fouder of these types of studies.
The offspring of the P1 generation are called the F1, or first children of an organism. The offspring of the F1 generation are then called the F2 generation of the original organism.
Suppose the perfect number P has divisors f1, f2, ... , fk, P (where all the fs are smaller than P. Then, by the definition of a perfect number, f1 + f2 + ... + fk = P So that f1 + f2 + ... + fk + P = 2P Dividing through by P, f1/P + f2/P + ... + fk/P + P/P = 2 . . . . . . . . . . . (2) Now, since f1 is a factor of P, the f1*g1 = P where g is the cofactor and so f1/P = 1/g1. That is, f1/P is the reciprocal of one of the other factors of P. Also, the last term on the left is the reciprocal of the factor 1. And therefore, f1/P + f2/P + ... + fk/P + P/P = 2 = 1/g1 + 1/g2 + ... + 1/gk + 1/1
The F1 generation is created by the mating of the P (parental) generation.

F1 Generation
The beginning generation, the parents of F1 generation and the grandparents of F2 generation.
F1 stands for 1st Filal generation. In short this is the first generation of offspring from different parents. The terminology is often used in genetics and plant breeding to describe the first generation. In more simple terms a baby can be seen as the F1 generation of both of its parents.
